1982
Thermoteknix Systems Ltd is founded by Managing Director, Dr Richard Salisbury. Today, its European Headquarters and Production Facilities are at Teknix House, Cambridge, UK, with offices in the USA, China, Singapore and India. Thermoteknix also supports its customer community via a committed global network of agents.

1998
Thermoteknix receives Queen's Award for Export Achievement. The royal accolade is the UK’s highest award for business success.

2003
First fever screening systems supplied to hospitals and airports in Asia to tackle the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) pandemic.

2005
Thermoteknix announces outstanding success with their miniature infrared camera used in the USA Aegis anti-ballistic missile testing programme, with spectacular footage from the rocket launch.

2005
Following pioneering success in Formula 1 racing, Thermoteknix becomes technology partners and official sponsors of the prestigious Cheever Racing IndyCar Series team alongside Cisco Systems. Cheever Racing installs state-of-the-art Thermoteknix infrared cameras on their race cars to monitor tyre temperature performance in order to gain vital seconds over the competition.

2008
Thermoteknix receives its second Queen’s Award for Enterprise, this time for Innovation.

2008
Ammonite Films select Thermoteknix to develop thermal camera systems to shoot ground-breaking wildlife films for National Geographic Wild HD channel.

2009
Thermoteknix is selected to supply vital thermal imaging cameras to NASA for their prestigious Lunar Crater Remote Observation and Sensing Satellite (LCROSS) program to identify the presence of subsurface water on the moon. Mission successful!

2015
Thermoteknix is awarded third Queen's Award for Enterprise, for Innovation. The award is in recognition of its cutting-edge ClipIR thermal imaging clip-on camera which brings a new dimension and enhanced performance to night vision goggles (NVGs). Pictured are Richard and Geraldine Salisbury with Her Majesty the Queen at the Buckingham Palace reception.

2020
Thermoteknix launches the new FevIR Scan 2 fever screening camera to support the global outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19).

2020
Thermoteknix launches Face Mask Detection technology across its temperature screening products in response to changing mandates on mask wearing in public.

2021
Thermoteknix launches MultiView Enterprise, revolutionising kiln, cooler and pyro process monitoring and control. Developed to provide an intuitive user interface to display and integrate multiple temperature sensors over the rotary kiln and cooler.

2021
Thermoteknix launches its new Augmented Reality Tactical Interface Module (ARTIM), with ATAK capabilities, to enhance its range of ClipIR XD Thermal Clip-on Systems and deliver superior night-time surveillance and combat capabilities.

2022
Thermoteknix delivers first consignment of Thermoteknix ClipIR XD Thermal Clip-on Systems with AR and ATAK capability to British troops on the front line.

2023
Three times Queen’s Award winner Thermoteknix awarded inaugural King’s Award for International Trade. Overseas sales for the company grew by 173% over a three year period.

Breaking new ground on earth and beyond
Thermoteknix has been called on to develop and deliver thermal imaging cameras for Formula 1, IndyCar racing, the USA Aegis Anti-Ballistic Missile Defense Programme, and ground-breaking wildlife documentaries.
NASA commissioned Thermoteknix to develop a thermal imaging camera to withstand and perform in the extremes of space and to accompany its successful 2009 Lunar Crater Remote Observation and Sensing Satellite (LCROSS) mission to confirm the presence of water on the moon, where the Thermoteknix camera now resides permanently.
