Thermoteknix Systems Ltd has been named Innovative Business of the Year at a lavish black tie dinner and presentation ceremony in the Great Hall at prestigious King’s College, Cambridge England, hosted by BBC television presenter and broadcaster Jeremy Vine. There were eight award categories being fiercely competed for, with Thermoteknix being the only company nominated for two of them – ‘Business of the Year’ and ‘Business Innovation Award’. Also nominated in the same categories were Autonomy, Newmarket Racecourses, Displaylink and Texperts.
On the night, Thermoteknix took the Business Innovation Trophy in recognition of the company’s 25 year history of pioneering innovation in thermal imaging technologies with specific reference to the Thermoteknix MIRICLE® range of very high performance miniature cameras. These have been used in a diverse range of applications from Formula 1 racing cars to industrial, aerospace, defence, security and space exploration.
This latest accolade comes shortly after Thermoteknix won the iDEA (Innovation and Design Excellence Award) for Innovative Company of the Year (September 2007) and was close runner up in the IET (Institution of Engineering and Technology) Innovation Awards in October.
